The Signs of a Haunting
The first step is to determine, as best you can, whether or not you truly have a legitimate case of a haunting.

some have more and some have less activity, and it seems no

case is alike when dealing with paranormal investigations...

Cases may exhibit a variety of phenomena. Some hauntings feature a single phenomenon - such as a particular door slamming shut that occurs repeatedly - while others consist of many different phenomena, ranging from odd noises to full-blown apparitions.

1. Doors, cabinets and cupboards opening and closing.

2. Unexplained noises - footsteps; knocks, banging, rapping; scratching sounds; sounds of something being dropped.

3. Lights turning off and on

4. Unexplained shadows

5. Strange animal behavior - a dog, cat or other pet behaves strangely or in a way that seems thy are watching something not there.

6. Feelings of being watched

7. Feelings of being touched

8. Cries and whispers - on occasion, muffled voices, whispering

9. Cold or hot spots / Unexplained smells /

10. Moving or levitating objects / - unexplained writing on paper or walls; handprints and footprints. /

11. Physical assault scratches, slaps and hard shoves. This kind of personal assault is extremely rare, but obviously highly disturbing

Colfax saw the DIEPART team April 30th being called in to investigate a mid 1800’s Standard American Farmhouse located in Colfax, Iowa. The homeowners are somewhat intimidated by the happenings in the home, and were hoping to get some sort of confirmation that the strange things happening at the home were, in fact, paranormal in nature and not just their imagination.

Fairfield, Iowa April 22nd-23rd, 2006 According to the owners and employees of this establishment, the place is very active with paranormal activity. Oddly enough, employees of the tavern report that there is more activity during the daytime hours, particularly in the early morning hours and especially on Sundays.

Out of many investigations few allow you to hear sounds out loud which do not seem to be earthly.. but exhibit that supernatural feel.. At this home we heard noises we couldn't explain as well as..humming we couldn't explain and talking we couldn't explain.. Which is a very rare phenomenon if the homeowners do hear these noises and more we can understand why they called us in.. The owners said they hear scary whispering voices all the time at this location.. We were skeptical of course but wanted to see if we could catch these voices as well...

APRIL 1st Saturday 5pm to 10pm

Diepart responded to a call from a single mother of 2 experiencing strange occurrences in her house. She reports incidents of her bathroom door slamming of it's own accord, loud banging’s and knocking on the walls of her kitchen at night, and voices being heard around the home. Owner also claims that she and her son witnessed the potential apparition of a boy of about 10-12 years of age with brown hair and wearing a baseball cap and sweatshirt walking down the hallway to the bathroom one evening just before the bathroom door shut tightly. In addition, strange objects have been turning up in the house. A high school picture of a girl unknown to the homeowner turned up on her entertainment center in the living room, and a 1 1/2 year old photocopy of a maids work schedule dated for Thanksgiving week turned up in the hallway one day while owner was cleaning up toys. There was a name on the back of the picture--Vicki Fisher.

In June, 2005 the owner witnessed black silhouettes of people running through the dining room. In another similar instance a visitor once reported seeing a black silhouette running through one of the upstairs back bedrooms. In a more frightening occurrence, the owner relates an incident where a "black figure with glowing red eyes" escorted her from the premises by riding on the back bumper of her car. Additionally, a niece also accompanying us at the location noted that there had been sightings of a black figure climbing the fence from the field next door and coming into the yard around house...a "black blob" was how it was described. The owner also has taken strange pictures in the house, one of which shows a grotesque face in the living room mirror.

A couple from Woodward, Iowa called us reporting a lot of paranormal things going on in their old home.. Being ghost hunters we always wanted to check out a church to see just exactly what we would get.. we what we got you can read in our report with a surprise at the end of the investigation with one of our members Del... As we were packing up to go... I guess when people live and die in a church setting it was makes you wonder of emotional energy is trapped our contained in a church setting...

We did get a few evps mostly from Terri's equipment.... but we are always up to finding out the truth about where to get evps and who what where why and when....

The team checked out this church. During the Saturday night service before Easter Sunday, a strange voice was heard at that service chanting in some sort of strange language. Besides a tape of voice, a video was also made of the congregation and their reaction to said voice.

The famous Monroe house... In Monroe Iowa has been the scene of several untimely deaths from the accidents all the way to reported suicides. The original owners were not very nice or friendly people in life and one can only wonder in death if they are any happier.... PATTY'S HOUSE is on the South side of Des Moines.. She called DIEPART in when she was hearing heavy foots steps and a GHOST was spotted in the basement along with several of the children saying they thought they hearing and seeing a ghost of a little girl...

Diepart has been at this home several times in past and recorded some major EVP’s of which are available on our website. Family Moved into this home, a former crack home, in October 2004. She is a single parent with 3 young boys, ranging in ages of 5, 8 and 13. They have heard tapping and scratching on walls. Felt as if someone were present in home and watching them. After dusk, they have heard doors open and close. Heard a music box coming from a closet. When closet was searched, nothing was found. No music box in home. One of the boys’s reported that he has seen a black cat and dark shadow in bathroom.
